Nigerian singer Seyi Vibez headlined the Grand Turnup Affair at Sol Beach in Lagos, bringing songs from his latest project, SWAGUU, to a live audience during an Independence Day celebration.
The Mainland Block Party event began on Thursday night and continued into the early hours of Friday, October 2. Music fans gathered at the open-air venue for an evening centred on street-pop music and Lagos nightlife.
The atmosphere was initially tense as guests arrived late, but the audience gradually became more engaged. Fans sang along as Seyi Vibez continued his performance, wearing a red jacket and shoes with black three-quarter jeans.
His set included GTA and Dejavu, alongside other tracks from SWAGUU and his recent catalogue. GTA, which also provided the theme for the event, drew one of the strongest responses from the audience.
Peruzzi, Shoday, Muyeez and Terry Apala were among the other artistes who performed during the event. DJs and additional entertainers also helped maintain the atmosphere before and around the headline set.
The beach setting made the event more intimate than some of Mainland Block Party’s larger editions. Groups of guests danced through the night as the celebration combined the Independence Day holiday with the continuing promotion of Seyi Vibez’s 14-track SWAGUU album.
The appearance followed Seyi Vibez’s performance at the organisation’s May Day edition earlier in 2026, which took place at the Police College in Ikeja.
