Alor APC Leaders Back Ezekwelu, Plan Voter Mobilisation Ahead of 2027
APC leaders in Alor, Anambra State, have pledged to mobilise support for House of Representatives candidate Kingsley Ezekwelu and President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections. The commitment was made during a rally involving party members from the community's two wards.

All Progressives Congress leaders in Alor, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, have declared support for Kingsley Ezekwelu, the party's candidate for the Idemili North and South Federal Constituency in the 2027 elections.
The commitment was made during a rally organised by Ezekwelu's campaign council for APC members in Alor Wards 1 and 2. Alor is the hometown of former labour minister and ex-Anambra governor Chris Ngige.
Party representatives at the gathering said they would also campaign for President Bola Tinubu's re-election. Their promise of overwhelming support reflects the position expressed by APC members at the event and should not be treated as a confirmed voting outcome.
Nonso Okoye, chairman of APC Alor Ward 1, said the attendance at the rally demonstrated what he considered strong local backing for the party. He linked support for Ezekwelu to the community's political relationship with Ngige and said party members planned to begin door-to-door mobilisation.
Okoye described Ngige as an important political figure in Alor and said supporters wanted Ezekwelu to represent Idemili North and South in the House of Representatives.
Addressing those present, Ezekwelu said he would pursue an inclusive approach to representation if elected. He also presented himself as an experienced candidate and said he intended to build on the political legacy associated with Ngige in the constituency.
The rally forms part of early political organising by the APC in the area as parties and candidates prepare for the 2027 general elections.
